If you've been diagnosed with anaemia or iron deficiency by your GP, Nowra Private Hospital is now offering a convenient Iron Infusion Service to help you regain your energy and well-being.

Here's what you need to know:

• Fast and Effective: Iron infusions deliver iron directly into your bloodstream, which can be a faster and more effective way to increase iron levels compared to oral supplements.
• Experienced Staff: Our team of nurses and doctors are experienced in administering iron infusions safely and comfortably.
• Cost-Transparent: There's a one-time fee of $150 on the day of admission, which excludes the iron medication itself. You'll need to source the iron product through a pharmacy with a prescription from your GP.
• Private Health Rebates: Depending on your private health insurance plan, you may be eligible for rebates to help cover the cost. We recommend checking with your provider directly.

1. Talk to Your GP: Discuss your iron deficiency and see if an iron infusion is the right treatment for you.
2. Get a Referral: Your GP will complete a referral form and send it to Nowra Private Hospital via fax (02 4421 7405) or email (preadmission.nwp@ramsayhealth.com.au).
3. Schedule Your Appointment: Once your referral is received, call our friendly administration team on (02) 4421 5855 to schedule in a time for your iron infusion. Iron infusions are available weekdays 12-3pm.
4. Get Your Iron Medication: Your GP will also provide you with a prescription for the iron product, which you'll need to fill at a pharmacy and bring with you on the day of your infusion.
