Dr Thomas Lee is a Gastroenterologist and hepatologist with interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

Dr Thomas Lee is a Gastroenterologist with interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). He is a clinical Associate Professor with the school of medicine at University of Wollongong providing lectures to medical students on gastroenterology and hepatology.

Qualifying as a gastroenterologist in 2008, Thomas trained at Wollongong Hospital and then completed sub specialty training in IBD through Box Hill Hospital, Monash University, Melbourne. Furthermore, he completed a Master of Science and advanced IBD fellowship through the University of Alberta, Canada in 2011. He was a senior staff specialist at Wollongong public hospital 2012 -2022,  he is now exclusively in private practice.

Thomas is a reviewer of Inflammatory bowel disease journal. He has published in Gut, Alimentary pharmacology and therapeutics, Journal of Crohn’s colitis, Gastroenterology Research and Practice and Internal medicine journal of Australia. He is part of the Australian IBD association (AIBD-A) network.
